After all the exciting news about Smash Bros and the 3DS XL, it seems there will always be a downer. Animal Crossing 3DS has been pushed back to the first half of 2013 in the UK. Nintendo Europe President Satoru Shibata apologised for this delay during the Nintendo Direct broadcast this morning. This seems to be because they want to make sure the quality of the game is at its best!

Fire Emblem 3DS was also revealed to be pushed back until 2013 as well.

“We also owe you some news on two upcoming games – Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem for the Nintendo 3DS. In order to provide the best end result and give fans the quality they expect from Nintendo we can confirm today that these two titles will now be launching in the first half of 2013. We are sorry that you will have to wait a little longer but we hope you understand our desire to ultimately deliver a game that fans will love.”

New footage for Animal Crossing 3DS was shown during the broadcast. Although the video is in Japanese, you can see what the game is showing you.

Many will be disappointed with this revelation, however Nintendo do have the fans at heart and want to make a game that will benefit both themselves and the fans. We will now have to wait until the first half of 2013 before we can get copies of both of these titles!
