Some people may be disappointed in the news that the first Pokémon game on the 3DS is just a Pokédex but, hear it out! It sounds pretty awesome!

Pokédex 3D will feature all of the new Pokémon from Black & White and will allow users to look up information about 150+ Pokémon, including their moves. It will also take advantage of SpotPass and Augmented Reality (huzzah!), all for the lovely price of free!

How is SpotPass used? Well, each player starts out with 16 Pokémon in their Pokédex. You unlock more by either scanning QR codes, trading data with friends (hopefully with StreetPass) and, by downloading three random Pokémon a day via SpotPass!

Users will obviously be able to view all the Pokémon in 3D, but can also rotate them a full 360 degrees. You can also filter out Pokémon and bookmark them.

The AR mode will allow you to bring the Pokémon into the real world and allow you to take pictures of them with the 3DS camera!

It may not be a brand new Pokémon adventure, but it sounds like great fun! Gallery below!
