English version of Pokemon Black/White arrives March 6th

Looks like English speaking trainers eager to start raising the latest generation Pokemon don’t have too much longer to wait, just yesterday Nintendo announced that the the first English language version should hit on March 6th. Just to be clear, this is the date for the US release and as usual the UK date is as of yet undefined. As a point of reference, here’s the difference between the release dates of the last few Pokemon games:

Diamond/Pearl (2007): 96 days
Platinum: (2009): 61 days
Heart Gold/Soul Silver (2010)r: 12 days

In theory this should mean we’ll only have to wait a week or so after the US release for it to arrive on our shores. Try not to get your hopes up until we have an official UK date though, far be it for us mere mortals to try and divine the actions of Nintendo. At worst you can always just import from the US. Unless you get caught by the tax man during shipping, it’ll probably cost round about the same as what you would be paying at UK retail anyway.
