Pokemon Ranger Tracks Of Light

Our favourite spin off is back Pokémon Rangers 3 has been announced in North America and Europe this new sequel looks very promising and should hit our shores Spring 2011 but that worries me because that is extremely close to the release of the 3DS.

Once again you will control a ranger with your party of Pokémon, this time round you venture into the region of Oblivia an area consisting of several islands. But all is not well in the land of Oblivia, because the local villains the Pokémon nappers are kidnapping all of the Pokémon in the area and its your job to stop them.

Many character have returned from previous ranger games such as Professor Hastings and the Ranger Union’s chief of technology. As far as we know the plot for this game seems shallow but I’m sure Nintendo are hiding something. The three Pokémon legendary dogs have been confirmed to have a pretty big role in the game which will be interesting and suggests the story will have more detail.

At any time during the game (as long as you’re not in a cave or a building), you can tap on an icon which takes you to the Ranger Sign screen. Here you draw a shape using the stylus, which then summons forth a particular Pokémon (including those aforementioned legendaries) that you can call upon to help you in your current situation. This new feature in the game is extremely interesting and i would love to see how it is used in the upcoming game and have a chance to review it.
