The latest entry in the Call of Duty mega franchise already holds all the sales records in the book, but now, Call of Duty: Black Ops has hit a major benchmark. Call of Duty: Black Ops surpassed one billion dollars in sales. Not only did Treyarch’s home run sell  a billion dollars worth of copies, they did it faster than nearly any piece of media in the last decade, second only to James Cameron’s Avatar. Although Call of Duty: Black Ops‘ sales figures are no shock, the magnitude of units moved is breathtaking. All things accounted for, Treyarch can officially sit back and enjoy the new title of “The Call of Duty guys, the ones who made the successful one.” Congratulations to Treyarch, now excuse me, I have another game of team death match on Nuke Town to do.
