Castlevania is a series that has been around for a while now. It all went to the action RPG format when the PS1 game, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was released, but now the newest Castlevania game is finally here in the UK only on WiiWare and its just like the classics. I have never got to play a Castlevania before so this is all new to me. When I heard it was being released today I had to have it, and so far its great fun!

You can play with either the Wiimote, Wiimote and Nunchuck, the GameCube pad or the Classic Controller. I’ve stuck with the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo for now, and it all works perfectly! You press B to jump, A or waggle to use your whip and the D-Pad or Nunchuck to move. The controls are tight and if you’ve not played a Castlevania game before it’s easy to get used to. You can have a variety of sub weapons (or keys) in the top box and they all have some use to them. When you use them, the hearts you collect deplete. This game is hard though so if you’re not a gamer don’t buy it. I’ve already had my first game over on the second level! But if you’re a gamer then go and get 1000 Wii points and download it, especially if you love the good old retro games!
