FIFA 15 – Lionel Messi Being On The Cover Has Nothing To Do With Adidas…Apparently

The front cover star for FIFA 15 has been revealed and apparently the decision has nothing to do with Adidas!  Not that I’m referring to the Adidas sponsored Golden Ball winner for player of the tournament at this year’s World Cup in Brazil being won (somehow) by Lionel Messi (who is a star asset of the Adidas brand)…nope I’m not referring to that at all.

But anywho rather then choosing the world footballer of year Christiano Ronaldo or the one of many German World Cup winners, EA Sports have chosen Lionel Messi for the 4^th time.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that, as he is arguably the best footballer of this generation.  Personally I think the inclusion of Emile Heskey as the front cover star is years overdue, but I’ll get over that eventually.

FIFA 15 will release for the PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 23^rd in North America, the 25^th across Europe and for some apparent reason (as we’re also not being counted as a European country) last in the UK on the 26^th.
