March Is Set to be the Month of Virtual Console!

Nintendo has announced their titles for release via the Virtual Console in march, and it looks to be the best month yet.

3DS owners will be able to relive classics via NES, Game Boy and the first ever SEGA Game Gear titles for some of the platform’s most famous franchises! Wii owners can download games from three different classic consoles, which include some of Capcom’s and SEGA’s finest throughout the month!

The original Metroid, featuring our beloved hero Samus Aran, drops onto the 3DS this month and those of you who are looking forward to the highly anticipated Kid Icarus: Uprising; can download the Game Boy title, Kid Icarus Of Myths and Monsters, allowing 3DS owners alike to become better acquainted with the angelic angel Pit and his action-packed adventures.

Another game dropping by the eShop is the classic Game Boy puzzler Dr. Mario. A classic SEGA Game Gear line-up including Dragon Crystal, Shinobi and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble  available this month!

Mega Man X and Mega Man 5 become available via the Wii Virtual Console and Super Street Fighter 2 is the first Virtual Console title with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection functionality, allowing fans of this legendary fighting game to gather round and challenge each other to the death. Strider and Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge will also be available.

This month will kick off with two NES classics in the form of the original Super Mario Bros. and Punch Out!!, both available via the Nintendo eShop. It is now your chance to play as the two plumbers as they battle Bowser and save princess Peach, as they have been doing these past and over 25 years!

Many more will become available this month such as Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Demo!
