Unfortunately I haven’t played the original Klonoa on the Playstation1 so I can only review it as a game and not a remake. Since there’s very little difference between the games it just seemed that it would be easier to review both of them so I wouldn’t have to repeat myself in another video. Klonoa is critically acclaimed and loved by critics, I like to call them “The Best average platformers I’ve played”.

Klonoa (Wii) Pros: Great level designs, simplistic gameplay, has lots of charm to it, very unique concept of grabbing enemies to use as a second jump, fast loadtimes, you can skip the cutscenes.

Cons: Good lord is this game short, very little reason to play it after beating it, it can be easy throughout the entire game, no new moves or abilities to learn.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil: Pros: New enemies give new abilities, far more challenging than the first one, Board riding levels are a nice change of pace, more levels than the first one, has a drop in co-op mode.

Cons: Some levels can take 20-30 mins to beat, bosses are still easy, much like the first one there is very little to do after beating it, the co-op mode can be boring for the other person.
