Derived from the stuff that keeps us entertained during weekends, tv tie-ins are notoriously bad. But there are always gems in the rough so here are my top 5.

5. Sonny With a Chance (DS)

Released this year, the game works on the original disney channel series. You can play as ‘so random’ cast members including Sonny and participate in over 200 mini-games with favourites from the show such as mall dancers and dolphin boy. It’s essentially a party game that is a lot of fun.

4. Jonas (DS)

Living the rockstar life with the boys from Jonas was always appealing. Based on the hit Disney Channel series, you must juggle the rockstar life, school and homework. The game again features several mini-games and some musical numbers from the series. The graphics are pretty tight too. A enjoyable game by all accounts with almost guitar hero style gameplay.

3. Drake and Josh (DS)

Ready to rock out? This title featured both Drake and Josh through their various shenanigans and put your right there with them. Whether it be helping Drake become a rockstar or helping Josh at The Premiere there is always something to do. A title that kept you entertained for a long time and was filled with humour.

2. Sonic Adventure 2

The game actually came first here. Then the games amazing storyline was put into the popular show Sonic X. The game is regarded as an all time great and was amazing. When Sonic is framed for doing something he didn’t do he’s on the run from the military. Why are they chasing him? Who is this strange figure and why does he seem to be hiding in the shadows? This game was so successful that it led to a spin-off game on one of the main characters.

1. Avatar: The Burning Earth

The ultimate platformer. You used your Wii remote to bend the elements and save the world! Based upon the second series of Avatar: The Last Airbender you venture through the earth kingdom as Aang further discovers his destiny. Venture into the sunken library and eventually save the earth kingdom of Ba Sing Se from the fire nation and their dreaded drill. What separated this game is the Avatar State. It was actually used properly as opposed to the first game and was done by using quick time action sequences that looked foolproof.

This concludes this really. If you wanna email me your lists at jack@push-start.co.uk or pop them in the comments box below I will be happy to post the lists for all to see. If I get a decent amount of responses there may even be a bit of podcast mention.

Also the first person to comment on this post will receive a set of stylish Pokemon stickers that can be put on to consoles or anything you like!
