At GDC, Sony had a few games to displayed the Playstation Move Motion Controller to the world. At the time a game was titled “Motion Fighter” and displayed what looked like a street fight that you control giving flicks and pokes using the new controller.

Well, Sony’s John McLaughlin(Producer), has demonstrated that there is an advanced feel and usage of the motion controller with this game. The working title at the moment is “The Fight: Lights Out”. In his demonstration he shows that flicks and swings are not what the controller should register to in a fight simulator, but actual jabs, uppercuts, and real punches should be the focus.

In the updated version that Sony is testing and playing with is showing that the computer understands how each person fights and displays it exactly how you delivered your punches and jabs. There is dirty fighting, boxing, and many other ways that people fight, so the motion controller is being developed in such a way that no one will have exactly the same display of a punch.

If you punch to the left, it punches to the left, if you punch to the right, it punches to the right. Any direction you punch, it will display it on screen. Hopefully this will be as good title as it looks, as well as a good motion controller debut game. The title is still in the pre-alpha stage, so there is surely more to come.
