Gamescom: FEZ, Rouge Legacy And Volume Lead An Avalance Of Awesome Indie Games

Today at Gamescom, Sony have underlined their commitment to bring Playstation fans some of the most creative and best known indie talent in the world, right to their doorstep. The majority of games announced today (which will be shown further down in this post) will be released on the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita, Sony have also announcement titles that will continue to come to the PlayStation 3 even after the new consoles launch. They also made a point of saying that they allow small indie publishers to self-publish on the PS Store alongside the big guys, it’s all good in the Sony hood.

Here is the list of indie games that are going to be released on the PS4:

  • Assault Android Cactus (Witch Beam)
  • FEZ (Polytron Corporation)
  • Final Horizon (Eiconic Games)
  • Guns of Icarus Online (Muse Games)
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital)
  • N++ (Metanet)
  • Rogue Legacy (Cellar Door Games)
  • Samurai Gunn (Teknopants)
  • Starbound (Chucklefish)
  • Switch Galaxy Ultra (Atomicom)
  • The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Nicalis)
  • Velocity 2X (FuturLab)
  • Volume (Mike Bithell)
  • Wasteland Kings (Vlambeer)

But don’t fear everyone, there is more to see! Sony also released an official list of indie games that will be coming to the PS Vita and man, this list is going to blow your minds! I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these fantastic looking indie titles, and as they’re on the PS Vita, I can take them anywhere with me!

That’s some list, right? More are set to be announced as Gamescom continues, so keep your ears and eyes peeled for more indie news if you’re a fan! Sony said at E3 they’d be pumping as much love as possible in to its current generation consoles and handhelds, and they’re showing it at the moment with this lovely list.
