War has changed. It’s not about nations, or ideologies. It’s not even about profit, resources, or ethnicity. It’s an endless series of trophies, fought for by mercenaries who want the prestige. War, and its vast consumption of human life, has become a rational, well oiled sense of progression. War has changed.

Or at least it has for those of us who still play Metal Gear Solid 4. As of today the trophy patch is live, along with the ability to finally fully install the game. No more smoke breaks between chapters for Old Snake. Now that there’s an incentive to get back to the battlefield and perhaps even seek out some easter eggs you may not have known about are you going to jump back in to the near-future world of nuclear equipped walking battle tanks? I know I am, in fact I already have.

Unfortunately any save data created before the patch can not be used to unlock any trophies, but any excuse to start a fresh game is OK with me.

This might have the bonus effect of increasing sales… That crafty Kojima! And of course from the never ending supply of trophy whores
