PSN Hacked Again?

On the 18th marked a month since PSN was initially hacked.  This lead to Sony taking down the network completely and rebuilding the network . A disaster some call it, others just frustrated. Well that looks like it will continue to be this way.

I have had a few friends contact me today asking me “has the PSN been hacked again” I replied not that I know of and ask them why they think it has… they replied “well I can’t connect again and my internet is working fine” I logged into mine just recently and mine is connecting with no issues but I seem to be missing the said friends that claim to be hacked.

When the update after the hacking took place it forced users to change their password. This is one of the security measures Sony has implemented to ensure accounts become secure again. Reports from Eurogamer and Nyleveia have stated that another hack is taking place. The hack allows the hackers to reset your password if they know your email address and date of birth. Both pieces of information  which would of been taken during the first hack.

Apparently if you have already gained access back to your PSN account it should be working fine. But it seems that some users are not experiencing this.

We recommend that all users change their PSN email address to one that hasn’t been listed on the PSN  for extra security, this also seems to be Sony’s solution to this new attack on its service.
