Sony at E3

Today We got to see Sony’s conference, where many titles were introduced, while some were demonstrated. Many guests came to talk about their companies titles as well as spoil us like usual with “Teasers” and “New materials”.

First up was all of the possibilities for Playstation Move, showing titles like “EyePet”, where it uses the camera to add a virtual pet into your screen that interacts with you or anything that moves in the. Along with this, was Socom and Time crisis, where you hold the Move controllers like a rifle and fire away.

Next was a small skit about the PSP, staring “Marcus Rivers”, it was pretty much a montage of commercial staring him, which will be aired on TV soon.

After the commercials ended, Metal Gear Solid Peace keeper was talked about, explaining that it is a revolution game for the hand help system. And just as it was getting a bit dry, they tossed “God of War: Ghost of Sparta” and showed us the preview that we were waiting for. Being a teaser, it was short but will bring us all to want it even more.
A line up was shown next with such games as ModNation racers,Ace Combat joint assault, Gravity Crash, DBZ Tenkaichi, Hot shots tennis, Madden 11, Kingdom Hearts, and The Thirteenth Birthday.

PSP is meant to be the best handheld experience with its free online gaming, and 50 million accounts with PS3 and PSP. With all of these members, was explained that “The Tester” has season 2 coming soon, and since some weren’t able to come to E3, Sony has built a E3 room on Playstation Home, to let you test games and see videos you would have seen at E3. LBP and ModNation is a good example of Sony’s huge audience and numbers in players.
 
Next up was Little big planets, Alex Evans demonstrating the new LBP2. There were 4 players showing us the mini games, and capabilities of the new little big planet. Such mini games as a button pushing game, where you must press the correct buttons shown, the fastest, without making a mistake. “Crashy crash”, is like a sumo kart mini game where the walls are ignited and kill you, you can use your boost button to hit your friends into the walls and gain points. The last mini game demonstrated the new helmets that can shoot any object the creator tells them too, in this case they shot rockets at each other and had jet packs to move around. Keep in mind that all of these were created by non Developers.

Next up to bat was the announcement of Playstation Plus which is $50 a year and is a subscription to give you free games, exclusive member demos and minis, you also get discounts for games that are not given during this subscription. IT will start at the end of the month, and will be free for the first three months with a demo of infamous 2 and a few free games. 

After this announcement, which was a bit dragged out, introduced John Chapper from EA to talk about the new titles coming to PS3. Greg Goodrich, who looks a lot like the character you play as(Duce), came to introduce Medal of Honor itself. watching this was pretty exciting, the game looks entertaining and dark, with its stealth kills and such. Dice is the developers of the multiplayer(who else but dice) and explained that there are unlockable beards not unlike Killstreaks from another certain shooter we all know. with massive explosions from guided missiles from the sky and pounds of pounds of ammo flying through the air medal of honor looks like the next good online shooter. Along with the game is a special edition that include frontline.

What a lot of us were waiting for, was Dead Space 2, and was the next on our list. As the demo starts you are already faced with a boss trying to kill you as you are getting sucked out into the vast of space itself. as you shoot the glowing tentacles and escape using your time freeze shot, Isacc escapes only to be shot at and sucked out into space, to fight of the monster flying around getting hit by pieces of ship. Dead space comes with an exclusive pack as well. Along with this was announced some other titles using the Playstation Move.

STAND BY FOR AN IMPORTANT APERATURE SURPRISE, IMPORTANT APERATURE SURPRISE ARRIVING IN 3….2……1….. Gabe Newel came to announce Portal 2 and show us the best trailer ever, showing Aperture building itself back together and preparing for round 2.

To add to the hairs standing up announce FF14……….I know what your thinking but it is another online title not unlike FFXI on PS2, this title is vast and vivid, bringing many different battles and customizable factors to play along side your friends.

Ubisoft was able to show the multiplayer trailer for Assassins Creed Brotherhood, which will be able to test soon. Showing the possibilities of the assassins we play as, in a semi matrix feel was a fresh feeling to the assassins creed franchise. I’m glad they finally put Multiplayer into our systems for this title.

After bloodlines was quickly done, was another Sony Montage of the new and coming games like Killzone 3, medal of honor,dead space 3, Heroes of the Move, Gran Turismo 5, Motor storm Apocalypse, Dead Nation, Shooter 2, Sorcery, DC Universe online, Tron Evolution, FFXIV, True Crimes, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, mafia II, and many many others.

GT5 was the next to be shown, which Blew us all away with its stunning Graphics and amount of detail that was put into this game. For goodness sakes it looks Real, like your just driving a HD Camera through a coarse. The biggest thing for me personally was the Top Gear Test Track, I can not wait to drive through the gambon as fast as I can. Two game play mode will be in this title.

What a lot of us were waiting for was the next “Infamous”, and we were given the privilege of seeing this trailer with cole in what looks like a new city but its possible that it is still the same city like before. this time around Cole has what looks like a Tesla-coil sword to use the electricity. It also looks as though Cole has learned to harness Ice abilities to face off some huge creatures in this new title.

For the final surprise, Sony brought back from the grave, the best combat racing game of all time yet to be on the PS3………Twisted Metal……..as soon as we heard the ice cream truck music, we all melted in our shoes as we saw sweet tooth walk in and show his crew of clowns “ITS GOOD TO BE BACK”. As the trailer continued, an actual Sweet Tooth Character drove onto the Stage to help introduce what looks like the best Twisted metal yet featuring 2 sides run by Doll Face and Sweet Tooth.
The new Twisted Metal is online and features a new “Nuke” gameplay mode which is not unlike capture the flag, the flag being Doll Face or Sweet Tooth, where you capture the leader of the opposing faction using a chain and dragging them behind your vehicle into an area to be sacrificed to a missile launcher. After you sacrifice the Leader, you control the guided missile towards the opposing factions statue which is held up high by helicopters. Did I mention that helicopter are usable now? well they are, but be careful, the new sniper weapon can aim in any direction.
