$15 Map Pack is Activision’s Fault?

According to Infinity Ward it is!

You Modern Warfare Players know that the “Stimulus Package” coming out on the 30th with a steep price of 1200 Microsoft Points.  Infinity Ward Community Manager, In an interview with Kotaku, Robert Bowling pointed out that Activision made the price for the map pack, no Infinity Ward. The map pack comes with 5 maps; 3 of which are new and 2 have been rehashed from the previous installment, Call of Duty 4.

Bowling said, the maps were designed to address what the gamers want and don’t want in their multiplayer games. Some were designed to prevent Snipers from camping as well as bring new environments to the game.

Kotaku also asked a question that we all wanted to know which is whether or not we will receive more maps from Call of Duty 4. He stated that these maps fit with Modern Warfare 2. With the addition of Perks, the balance of gameplay would be destroyed.

That makes sense to us. Marathon, with Commando on Vacant would be problematic.
