Alan Wake: Coming Soon

From the makers of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, Remedy will now bring us Alan Wake, a game that they have described as “A Psychological Action Thriller”.

It will be released in America on May 18th and in Europe on May 21st, and with the amount of hype that its received promises an awful lot.

The storyline has something of a Stephen King feel about it – Alan Wake is a best-selling author who goes in search of his missing wife. During the search, lost pages from a thriller that he cannot remember writing begin to turn up, and to top it all off there is something seriously wrong with the small town of Bright Falls where he is staying. The phrase “Fight With Light” keeps appearing, so we can make a pretty safe assumption that torches will be a unique form of weapon.

All sounds very interesting indeed, but aside from that information, Remedy aren’t really saying much about their newest release – more information when we get it!
