Aliens: Colonial Marines Survival Trailer
There have been a lot of games that have tried to clone the formula of Horde mode that Gears of War 2 did so successfully. In most cases they have been successful, due to the fact that the idea of taking on waves of enemies is for the most part fun anyway. The aspect though that a lot of games don’t have is character , nothing that separates them from the rest of the pack. Aliens: Colonial Marines however could be the answer, if there is one thing that Aliens: Colonial Marines is trying to do it’s to create fear and tension, something that could work fantastically in Survival Mode, their take on Horde. Teamwork and communication will be vital here if you are to have any chance of surviving a single wave. From the trailer it appears as though players will be able to open up the map more by unlocking certain doors and there is the usual mechanic of defence weapons, in this case a gun turret.
