The initial instalment of the highly acclaimed Dark Souls series, is set to be bundled with each digital copy of the upcoming Dark Souls 3. As pointed out by Reddit user flufflyspidernuts on the Xbox One subreddit, the above offer is already up for grabs on the Australian Xbox Live Marketplace. However, as of today, Microsoft is yet to officially announce the backward compatible release of the Xbox 360 title.

Code for Xbox 360 copy of Dark Souls, as underlined on Dark Souls 3 store page, is set to be delivered to users’ Xbox message centre within 7-10 days, of the initial purchase. And this suggests, that Xbox 360 version, of Dark Souls, might be granted backward compatibility within the next fourteen days.

Dark Souls 3, is set to be initially released in Japan on 24th of March, and will make its international debut just few weeks later, on 12th of April. Third and final iteration of the Dark Souls series will launch simultaneously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
