Modern-Warfare-Trilogy

In quite possibly the most anticlimactic Call of Duty news in recent times, the rumoured Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trilogy has been officially announced…..for PS3 and Xbox 360.  When the rumours of this story broke, it left many fans jumping in excitement at the prospect of these three classics being remastered on new-gen consoles.  Then of course Modern Warfare Remastered was announced along with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which had many hoping that the trilogy rumours were to be true, sadly that’s not the case.

The listing appeared on US retailer Best Buy with an RRP of $29.99 with a release date of May 17th, some may see the RRP as pretty steep for a collection of old games, on last gen systems, which are not in any way remastered.  What seems worse, is that from what I can tell on the listing, the only extra DLC that comes bundled with this collection is the Stimulus Pack which includes 5 extra maps for Modern Warfare 2.  So does that mean you’ll only get one map pack for MW2 and the basic multiplayer content with the other two games?

You just know that the only way we’ll get remastered versions of Modern Warfare 2 and 3 will be in bundles with new Call of Duty titles down the line, just like with Infinite Warfare.  Damn you Activision, damn you.
