[Competition] Splatterhouse Interview & New Details Revealed

On Monday the 14th myself (Daniel Pepper) and Jay Wheeler took a lovely trip into the depths of London to set sail on a voyage of Splatterhouse. During the special VIP event we were able to get to play Splatterhouse and learn more interesting information about the game. Keep reading to find out about the FREE competition details!

Whilst at the event we managed to get an interview with Blaise Rodier and Karine Balichard.100_2954
As the majority of you gamers would know (if your old enough) that the original Splatterhouse released in 1988. The first was so successful it was able to spin of 3 more titles.

During the live demonstration from Blaise Rodier and Karine Balichard we managed to pick up a lot of key information, if its too hard to hear in the video we have the important information below.

  • Splatterhouse will be releasing around Fall, no exact release date is set, but it will be releasing around mid-fall.
  • The rumour around the original titles releasing on the XBLA and PSN are not true. The original titles will be  unlocked in their classic forms once players have completed the game.001
  • There are a lot of original boss’s making there return including
    • Robo-Ape, Dr. West’s robotic simian bodyguard (boss character)
    • Biggy Man (boss character known for having two chainsaws in place of his hands)
    • Clawface (boss character known for the huge pus sacks on his face) 002
    • 2x4s, shotguns, and cleavers (weapons in the original games)
    • Dr. West’s estate (level)
    • The gameplay will change from the standard 3D environment, making some parts of the games like the original 2D titles.
    • You can use your arm as a weapon, and enemies arms as weapons.
