Just in case you haven’t dressed Chuck up enough in the extensive range of outlandish apparel available from the stores while playing through Dead Rising 2, Capcom will be releasing four new sets of costumes with relevant items and weaponry to accompany them. There will be one theme costume DLC pack arriving each week for the next four weeks on the Xbox Live Marketplace from October 12th.

Firstly, we have the Psychopath Theme Pack: (Accessible from October 12th), which sees Psycho Chuck sporting a new insane look complete with a blood-stained apron and a hockey mask which strangely enough will make him harder to kill somehow. He’ll also be granted an array of brutal weapons such as chainsaws, meat cleavers and axes.

Secondly, the following week will see the Soldier of Fortune Theme Pack: (Accessible from October 19) hitting the Marketplace, giving Chuck a Rambo-styled soldier outfit helpfully granting him double the amount of ammo, an increase in shooting accuracy, double the firepower and the increased chance of landing a headshot on the shambling undead. A new special attack that uses automatic weapons will also be included in the pack allowing Chuck to spray zombies with a “hail of bullets.”

DR2-Solider Costume DLC

Thirdly, we have the Sports Theme Pack: (Accessible from October 26), which will increase the damage Chuck deals out whilst using sport-themed weapons and such items as golf balls, basketballs and so fourth bounce for twice as long before stopping, enabling you to take out more zombies in a shorter period of time. Chuck will also be granted a new charge and tackle attack for taking the zombie horde down known as the “ultimate blitz” ability. Other positive features of this pack is that Chuck will earn more from gambling, gain more health via eating and drinking (in particular, alcohol) and not throw up from drinking excessively. Jocks worldwide would be proud.

Finally, the Ninja Theme Pack: (Accessible from November 2) enables the player to create Ninja Chuck with a new “stealth mode” where the undead will need to get closer to Chuck before being able to detect his presence. As a result, zombies will have a tougher time than normal trying to grapple Chuck and take him down. Chuck’s damage is also increased with sword-type weapons such as the katana’s and broadswords. He will also be given new special attacks with swords. Stackable items and throwing items (gems, plates, nails, etc) will also deal added damage as Chuck’s throwing speed will be increased.

Each new costume package will cost you a measley 160MP/$1.99. An added bonus for downloading these packs are that you can mix and match them together. Looking to sport Chuck up in a hockey mask with ninja sandals? You got it. Look out for them from October 12th on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
