Deal of the Week: Toy Soldiers: Cold War (XBLA)

Right at this very moment the Xbox 360 is having a 50% sale off on 5 selected arcade games, one of which being Toy Soldiers: Cold War which can now be purchased for only 600 Microsoft points. For those of you that have not heard this game before, it is a sequel to the 2010 hit, Toy Soldiers, but don’t worry you don’t have to play the first one to play Cold War as there is no connection between them. As the name implies, you play as figurine toys and the objective of each mission is to defend your toy box in a tower defence structured way. Each mission sees you control a set of units, that can only be placed in certain designated spots and each one can be controlled by you. For instance you can take control of a machine gunner unit and control the machine gun itself, effectively becoming a third person shooter. Wave after wave is sent in to get inside your toy box and if you let too many in, then the mission is failed. There is a ton of depth to this game and can last you a good couple of weeks. For 600 Microsoft points, it’s a bargain.
