News has emerged from both American retailers, Best Buy and GameStop, that a Collector’s Edition of the hugely anticipated Batman: Arkham City, the sequel to 2009’s award-winning Batman: Arkham Asylum, will be available for Batty fans to get their hands on. The Collector’s Edition includes:

  • A Premium statue, produced by Kotobukiya, one of the most popular and in-demand model kit manufacturers in America
  • A book containing all the concept art and designs created in development of the game
  • Exclusive early access to add-on content to be used in the game
  • Gotham Knight animated content

The Collector’s Edition has been listed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, and is slated to ship alongside the standard edition of the game this October, which will also be available for PC. Both GameStop and Best Buy have set the price of the Collector’s Edition on their websites at $99.99 (that’s approximately £62 for us Brits).

No official announcement of the Batman: Arkham City Collector’s Edition has been made for Europe just yet. However, details in regards to price and content are subject to change as the release date looms ever closer.

‘Gotham Knight’ animated content?

As in the psuedo-anime tie in that came out around the time of The Dark Knight?
