Most of you will know that even though Forza Horizon 2 will have different developers for the Xbox One (Playground Games) and Xbox 360 (Sumo Digital), it has been revealed that the two versions of the game will be different.  Many perhaps would have expected a similar situation as the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Titanfall, in which they are essentially the same game.

It has been revealed however that this won’t necessarily be the case for Forza Horizon 2; that is according to Playground Games creative director Ralph Fulton.  Speaking to Digital Spy Ralph Fulton says that they are “different games inspired by the same ideas” and that “It’s based in the same world, it’s based on the same themes,

The biggest differences between the two versions are that the Xbox One version will feature Forza Motorsport 5’s Drivatar and will also feature an all new weather system.  These two features will not be present in the Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2.  In terms of the Drivatar and new weather system, here’s what Fulton had to say “There are things we are doing in Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One that honestly couldn’t be done on any other console,

Despite the minor discrepancies, I have no doubts that Xbox 360 owners will still have a great open-world racer on their hands, which will feature the same in-game engine used in the original Forza Horizon and like the Forza Horizon 2 new-gen counterpart the Xbox 360 version will still have the same open-world setting and more the 200 cars to look forward too.

Forza Horizon 2 will release for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 30th.
