Get a Feel for the Setting of Deadlight with Part One of the Development Diaries

Shown to the press at the Microsoft Spring Showcase earlier this year, Deadlight is an upcoming action-platformer, with gameplay stylings reminiscent of Flashback, Prince Of Persia and Another World, as opposed to the open world antics of Shadow Complex or Metroid. It’s been described as a return to the 80’s not only in style, but also in gameplay mechanics, whilst the universe takes influence from many works including The Walking Dead, I Am Legend and The Road. In this world there are no cell phones, no Internet, and in the below development diary, you’ll get to see how rich they are attempting to make the universe, filling it with details and collectables, whilst still maintaining the bleak and lonely atmosphere.

Tequila Works have released Part One of their development diaries for the title, in which we’ll get to see a lot more of this promising looking game heading to the Xbox Live Arcade later this year.

Deadlight is releasing exclusively for the Xbox 360 later this year.
