Goldberg confirmed for WWE 2K17

 

Back in February this year, we covered a story that seemed to indicate the former WWE Superstar and WCW legend Bill Goldberg might just be in this year’s WWE 2K17.  Then in April via a two-part article on the future of WWE games, we spoke of how we would love to see WCW as a main focus for this year’s instalment.

However, while we have no details on any potential WCW Showcase mode, 2K Sports and the WWE has announced that Bill Goldberg will be in WWE 2K17, as a pre-order bonus.  The pre-order bonus will also include two additional WCW arenas.

The news was announced on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw and via the WWE 2K Twitter account with a trailer featuring Mr Goldberg himself, getting arrested…for some reason.  You can watch the announcement trailer below.  Does this also mean that Goldberg could be set for a return to the Squared Circle with a possible induction in the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame?  Only time will tell.
