Injustice: Gods Among Us Dated, Collectors Edition Detailed

Warner Brothers and NetherRealm have announced the date for their newest fighting game adventure, DC’s Injustice. In Europe, the title will hit on the 19th of April for Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360. Continuing on from their work on the Mortal Kombat reboot, NetherRealm take that engine foward into another foray in the DC universe, with the likes of Batman, Wonderwoman and Superman fighting in expansive, cinematic stages with the tools you’d expect of the comic book heroes (and villains).

They also announced a collectors edition, priced at £74.99, which features:

  • A 25cm collectible statue
  • Steelbook casing
  •  An original comic book based on the game’s lore.
  • Character skins based on ‘The New 52’ DC comics reboot

Along with this (but only in the US), they have shown off an arcade stick in the american style (indicated by the bat top stick), which indicates they hope the fighting game community will take this game seriously. Given the amount of gimmicks already shown off, I am hesitant to agree with their hope, but I’ve been wrong before. Despite my personal distaste for bat tops, the stick looks well constructed and attractive, so will hopefully also make these shores.
