Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII – Battle System Trailer

For those interested in more details for the battle system in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII check this new trailer out! Featuring very specific aspects of the system such as the Libra ability, showing enemy weakness’ and stagger conditions, through to the individual skills provided by weapons and shields that Lightning uses. The trailer also gives a sneaky peek at some of the huge, area dominating enemies that our Heroine will have to face on the battlefield alone.

 

Keep in mind now that so far what we have seen from Final Fantasy XV is that a lot of the battle system will run in real time, in open environments much like games such as Kingdom Hearts & Rouge Galaxy (PS2), and wont be limited to specific arena’s. A speculative mind, like mine, would garner that this system maybe be getting us use to that style of play for the future Final Fantasy endeavour, but thats a lot for one plate.

Lightning Returns to us on February 14th and for the wait we now have a live demo available on PS3 and Xbox 360, so go ahead and test out that battle system yourself!
