Any fan of the long running stealth-em-up saga will be anxious to get their hands on the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection that was announced by Kojima earlier this year. The retailed bundle consists of MGS 2: Sons of Liberty, MGS 3: Snake Eater and MGS: Peace Walker (previously a PSP exclusive), all in one neat little package, revamped in glorious high-definition, as well as full trophy/achievement compatibility.

However, fans can be that little bit more excited, as the MGS HD Collection is getting the limited edition treatment.

As well as the three titles already mentioned, the limited edition will also include distinct packaging, and a 248 page book titled “The Art of Metal Gear Solid”, boasting some of the excellent artwork from the award-winning franchise.

Together with the announcement of the limited edition of the MGS HD Collection, Konami has quashed rumours that the PS3 and PSP save data transferring for Peace Walker would not be included in the English language version of the package, insisting that this is not true.

Whether the limited edition will have a higher price tag remains to be confirmed, but it will be released on the very same day that the standard edition hits retail shelves in November.
