Microsoft treats us to some Kinect news from TGS 2011!

Earlier this morning Microsoft detailed its TGS (Tokyo Game Show) announcements. While they didn’t have a press conference as Sony and Nintendo have over the last couple of days, they aren’t leaving us out in the cold in terms of announcements.

In amongst discussion of Forza 4, Gears of War 3 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, there are some Kinect nuggets worth picking out for those of us who are waiting for this years titles for the peripheral.

Firstly, seven new tracks for Dance Central 2 have been detailed (part of the 40+ tracks on disc), including –

  • Mary J. Blige – Real Love
  • Chingy – Right Thurr
  • Missy Elliott – Get Ur Freak On
  • Kevin Lyttle – Turn Me On
  • New Boyz – You’re A Jerk
  • Armanni Reign – Reach
  • Remy Ma – Conceited (There’s Something About Remy)

Secondly, Kinect Sports: Season Two  see’s both Downhill Skiing and Baseball being shown on the show floor, so be sure to keep an eye out for some new videos and screenshots

From the Japanese developers we have a number of developments bringing to light some of the games that were announced at last years Tokyo Game Show including Project Draco and Codename D.

Looking to take some sights and sounds from Panzer Dragoon, Project Draco is to be shown for the first time to media this year, hopefully revealing some more details on this project. This title from Grounding was announced last year with a teaser trailer, so hopefully we will get some more media soon.

Poject Draco: Taken from the teaser trailer, there isn't much to go on as of yet!

Secondly, working title Codename D has now been revealed as Diabolical Pitch. Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, this title will be heading to the Xbox LIVE Arcade next year.

Finally, another of the teaser trailers shown last year was of Haunt (coming from NanaOn-Sha), while there is no official media as of yet, this will be playable at Microsoft’s booth, so expect some updates soon.

Overall there are some good updates on both well known Kinect titles as well as some of the more mysterious games which have been kept under wraps until now. Keep an eye here at Push-Start for updates on all the Kinect news and titles from this years Tokyo Game Show.
