Italian developer Milestone has unveiled their forthcoming high-octane motorcycle title RIDE. Coming hot off the success of MotoGP 14, the studio have announced that RIDE will be heading to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in Spring 2015.

While Milestone have made great strides in the traditional MotoGP and Motocross series, RIDE will see players racing through cities, the country and historic race tracks. As well as offering bike fans a chance to race in new locations, there will also be several customisation options to make the rider and bike your own.

In a press release from Milestone, they have stated:

“It is with great pleasure that we are able to publically announce our first proprietary IP: RIDE. Milestone has worked hard over the last few years to get to the position we are in today, where we
can compete with the major companies in the international gaming scene on an equal footing. This was made possible with the help of the licensed games we develop and distribute worldwide. After more than 15 years of hard work, we felt the need to develop something that would bring together all our expertise and encapsulate the Milestone DNA with respect to the world of motorcycling,” said Marco Micallef, Director of Marketing and Sales. “As always throughout the history of the company,” he continued, “we have analysed what our international community of players have been asking us for and carried out internal research to find out how we could satisfy their demands in full. With RIDE, we’re confident that players and motorcycle enthusiasts the world over will feel the irresistible urge, pad clutched in hands, perched on the edge of the sofa, to physically lean into those corners as they speed along the tracks.”

With MotoGP14 proving to be a very good game on the PS4, it seems like a step in the right direction that the studio is sticking to their strengths, while trying to alter it slightly. With MXGP due out for the PS4 in the coming months, it seems as though Milestone are trying their best to make the most of the PS4 and Xbox One at this early stage in the console’s life cycles.
