MvC3 Info & Character Art.

Gears of War 3 was overshadowed overnight with the release of the new Marvel vs Capcom 3 Teaser . MvC3: Fate of Two Worlds(the games title) is the long awaited sequel to the game that has been released around a decade ago.

The first thing you notice off the back are the graphics. It’s is reminiscent of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom’s style, with a Street Fighter 4 infusion. They’re calling it a “moving comic” style of art; which is exactly what it looks like, a moving comic.

The game uses an advanced version of the MT Framework, used in Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5; brining gorgeous backgrounds and character animations to the forefront. The fighting is said to be the same over the top, high octane, 30+ hit combos like the game’s predecessor. There will still be 3v3 combat and the ability to choose an assist type for each character.

Capcom states

“We are so pleased to be working with Marvel again.Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been one of the most requested titles for us to produce by our fans,” said Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Capcom. “Our Capcom development studio is creating the most epic fighting game ever developed and Marvel’s input into that process has been invaluable.”

Our only question is whether this will be an Arcade game or a title you purchase in the stores. I’m banking on store purchase. With all that said, this game will make big waves and will be one of the most played fighting games of all time. Here is some character art below.
