New Avengers Game Announced for the Wii U

Avengers is perhaps one of the biggest movies out right now. Hell it IS the greatest movie out now. What many would have expected was to see a game created from the film and released on the major consoles as Iron Man, Captain America and Thor have done. However that was not the case. Well now Ubisoft have announced that they are making an Avengers game for the Wii U. Exciting eh?

The game is not influenced by the film but however by the Marvel Comic artwork and the Secret Invasion storyline. This shouldn’t be a problem though, considering the film will help ride the game’s success even further.

There will be plenty of characters that will be starring in the game, including all the stars from the film and many of the villains from the Universe of Marvel.

Tony Key of Ubisoft had this to say:

“We are excited to team up with Marvel Entertainment to bring some of the most iconic comic book characters from the Marvel line-up to life in motion-gaming. Fans of the Marvel universe and superhero games are going to love the extensive combinations of characters, motion-controlled moves and competitive gameplay.”

Building upon the strengths of the Wii, the Wii U will be taking motion control to the next level. The same title will be released for the Xbox 360 with Kinect support, so there will be some competition!
