Presumably there is a new instalment of the highly acclaimed Burnout series, which has been leaked after the Australian Classification Board rated the new game from Electronic Arts.

Sources say that the upcoming title, called “Burnout Crash”, received a PG rating with ‘Mild Violence’, which may mean that the game has maintained the blood-free, dehumanised theme that has followed the Burnout series. Sources say that “Burnout: Crash” may focus on the series’ popular Crash Mode, which appeared in Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge, but was absent in 2008’s Burnout Paradise.

The leak, reported by Gamerbytes, noted that typically only unannounced, downloadable titles are leaked early by retail boards, rather than full price retail games. With this in mind, “Burnout Crash” may only be a smaller, downloadable title. However due to the lack of information, whether this is a DLC pack, smaller downloadable title, or a full retail title is still uncertain.

According to a link on the social network website Linkedln, “Burnout Crash” will be for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. No developer has been announced at this time.
