New Transformers Video Shows Character Customization

This caught me off guard for sure. The idea of customizing your own Transformer never crossed my mind for some reason.

We now have a video showing the different classes of Transfomers blowing each other up. In the video(courtesy of Gamespot) you’ll see four types of classes:

• Scout
• Scientist
• Leader
• Soldier

All classes can be upgraded and have different abilities. The Scout has the ability to turn invisible, Scientists can revive fallen soldiers, Leaders can buff players around them, and Soldiers have the ability to hover for a short period of time. Each class has 2 abilities that can be used. Whether they can be upgraded or interchangeable is not shown.

All classes do have three upgrade slots that are shown which could possibly upgrade the character as a whole or specifically weapons and abilities. There’s possibly a different type of character that can be used in each class. Underneath each class there are two slots that state unlock at a certain level.

The ability to use different weapons at the start of each game are also available. The player has two weapon slots that can be filled with things like an EMP Shotgun or Neutron Assault Rifle. This is basically a load out similar to Modern Warfare 2’s.

If you pause the video at the right moment, you’ll see that there are killstreaks available as well. The Scientist for example will be able to spawn a rocket turret after 7 kills. Will there be as many as MW2’s? Who knows at this point, but the killstreak is nice addition to any game in my opinion.
