We were recently told about Guitar Hero’s next band set and what peripherals will be being sold with the game.
With the he new Guitar Hero release is getting a new guitar peripheral that doesn’t seem to much different from the previous and we haven’t recieved any more informatiom about Rock Band’s set so were assuming it wont be as creative as well… Power Gig: Rise of the Six strings peripheral.

In the above video you will notice that Power Gig has taken away drum pads top keep you parents happy as the drums react by air swings. This is odd I know and We take a while getting use to not actually hitting anything. In a recent interview with Seven45 Studios Chairmen Bernard Chi stated

"We know that people may be skeptical of the AirStrike drums at first glance when they see there’s no actual drums and can’t understand how that’s a match to our SixString guitar which is a fully functioning electric guitar,"
"But we also know that as soon as people sit down to play it, they are going to see how much more real and authentic it feels to be moving much the same way true drummers do when they play, without the limits of the drum kits already on the market."

The other key advantages of this new type of drum kit of course will be. It’s much quieter than its competitors, it will take up less space and is known to be more realistic due to the air sensor within the drums picking up the movements of the drumsticks.

It certainly is a look in a different root with peripherals but will gamers want to feel the drum hits or have a more realistic response?

We are hoping to get more information at E3 with Christian and aiming to get a hands on to give you our feedback.

Power Gig will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this October.
