SSX New Update Adds Multiplayer

SSX was missing one component and that was competitive multiplayer, a few days ago EA Sports released two screenshots and a video which hinted at the possibility of this being included, read here for further details. Now a new update has been released which contains two competitive multiplayer game modes and a new single player game mode called Freeride. The two featured multiplayer modes are Trick It and Race, in Trick It the idea is to score the most points by performing insane tricks and Race mode is fairly self explanatory, get to the bottom of the mountain first. Both these game modes can be played with 5 other people, making for some intense action.

Freeride mode sees you against the mountain with no HUD or scoring, once you reach the bottom of the mountain, a helicopter picks you up and takes you to the top again. This is a great feature that lets you practice your skills for hours on end, getting to know every area, which is a great advantage when it comes to the completive side of SSX.

The update is now available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
