Tequila Works Impresses With Deadlight Gameplay Trailer

Remember when you were happy playing Time Pilot and Frogger on the Xbox Live Arcade? Times have certainly changed, with downloadable games showcasing that they don’t need physical media and big budgets to impress and entertain. Tequila Works revealed Deadlight with a teaser trailer back at the Microsoft Spring Showcase, and while press who attended got to see the game in action, a lot was still unknown for the public.

Well, the wait it now over. Tequila Works have revealed the first gameplay trailer for Deadlight. Heading exclusively to the Xbox Live Arcade later this year, Deadlight certainly looks impressive. Played from a side-scrolling perspective, echoing gameplay mechanics seen in Shadow Complex, this dark moody post-apocaltypic platformer sure looks like one to keep an eye on.

Deadlight is a cinematic action-platformer with action-based puzzles. The player takes the role of Randall Wayne, survivor of an apocalyptic world set in an alternate 1980s. Taking advantage of Randall’s agility, the player will overcome obstacles, dodge enemies, and set diversions.

In the Deadlight world, there is no escape. Face your inner and outer fears, and survive!

Deadlight is releasing later this year exclusively for the Xbox 360.
