Activision and Platinum Games have released a new trailer for Transformers: Devastation, featuring the legendary voice of Optimus Prime, I am of course talking about non other then Peter Cullen.  We hear from Mr Cullen of his enjoyment with being involved with this game and how it takes him on a trip down memory lane.  What will also please fans of the 80’s, is that the story of the main campaign is written by Transformers veteran comic book writer Andy Schmidt.

Transformers: Devastation will release for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 9th.

Activision has also released details on some of the pre-order incentive content that will be available with the game at release, which can be found below:

All retail and digital pre-orders of TRANSFORMERS: Devastation will receive the following three character skins: NEMESIS PRIME, RED ALERT and GOLDFIRE.

Players will also receive three powerful weapons with their pre-order:

  • TheDark Star Sabre, a fearsome sword which radiates waves of dark energy with every swing.
  • ThePhoton Disruptor cannon for huge damage at short range.
  • The twinGolden Hunter blaster pistols, which causes enemies to drop credits when attacked.
