Square Enix have showered us with another heap load of screenshots from the upcomming Final Fantasy XIII-2 showing off the many fatures that the game has in store.

In addtition to the shiny new Crystarium system designed prefectly for Noel, Serah and creature companions, A new environment known as the Augusta Tower sits in wait for its fascinating exploration. The tower is an information processing facility that was built as part of a major Academy project but a timespace anomaly has thrown the Tower into chaos and warped the interior into a devious maze housing a number of challenges.

The Historia Crux is quickly making a name for itself as the time altering factor in this epic adventure. But in the new future, will the world be made safe – or will it be destroyed? Many locations within the Historia Crux have multiple Time Gates, with each gate opening up to a brand new location on the time line. As long as you have the right artefacts to unlock the gates, you are free to explore the many many paths that lie ahead. Also, being able to close gates that were previously opened rewinds times and resets history, so you can replay the same area if you want to re-live the past.
