Gears of War: Judgment Revealed

 

A few days ago Gameinformer revealed an image that displayed a new Gears of War game (check here for more details). The center character was blacked out and we were supposed to wait until Monday to find out who the mystery person was. It seems as though Gameinformer could not wait and showed us two character covers and released the new name of the game, Gears of War: Judgment. The characters shown are Baird and Cole, both iconic characters from the universe, but it does come as a surprise as the mystery figure did at first look like Marcus Fenix.

Judging from the looks of both Cole and Baird this game seems to be a prequel to the events of the first game, it would definitely be an interesting angle to look at, and possibly feature a deeper story that could explain the origins of the Locust more. Another interesting point about the image is a new weapon that one of the Locusts seem to have, we already know that People Can Fly are involved and they made some pretty crazy weapons in Bulletstorm. From the looks of it the weapon that the Locust is holding does not appear to have, let’s say, “normal” qualities. We will have to wait until Monday to see more on this entry including a trailer and hopefully more details about the game.
