The new chief of the Xbox affairs Phil Spencer has announced some major news for the Xbox consoles, which includes Xbox One bundles that do not include the Kinect sensor.  So let’s start off with the Kinect-less bundles.  Starting June 9th customers will now have the option to purchase the Xbox One console with or without the Kinect sensor and Kinect-less bundles will have an RRP of £349.99.  Will this be enough to tempt those gamers sat on the fence? Only time will tell.

Also the next news has been a high request from fans for some time now and that’s being able to use the Xbox One apps with having no need of an Xbox Live subscription.  So from now on gamers that don’t have a live subscription will be able to use apps such as Twitch, YouTube Netflix and more, as well as being able to watch live TV through the console and utilise the One Guide.  The apps will surely go down as a popular u-turn, as it’s something that is already implemented on the PS4 by not needing a PS+ subscription to use the apps.

While many of the free Xbox 360 Games with Gold have been somewhat outdated when compared to the titles offered on PS+, having free games accessible on your console even when your XBL subscription ends has always been a good offer.  But since the Xbox One launch last November, Xbox One owners have been patiently waiting a free piece of the Games with Gold pie.  Now thankfully GWG will now also be coming to the Xbox One this coming June.

Coming to Games with Gold for the Xbox 360 in June will be Dark Souls, Charlie Murder and as an added bonus; Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.  For the first time since Games with Gold began, Xbox One owners will be getting Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault.

If that wasn’t enough Xbox goodness for you, there will also be some generous discounts for Xbox One owners too. While Xbox 360 owners have been getting weekly discounts for a number of years now with Deals of the Week, since the Xbox One launch, decent discounts have been few and far between…until now.  As also starting in June discounts will range from 50%-70% and discounts will be available to such titles as Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and more.

So for those of you that do not own a Xbox One console yet, are any of these u-turns tempted you off the fence? Also for existing Xbox One owners, how happy are you in regards to the app news and us finally getting some of the Games with Gold pie?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
