New Mass Effect Continues After Trilogy, Liara Features in #TheGameAwards Trailer
We knew that a 5th main entry in the Mass Effect series is coming but I think it took a lot of us by surprise with its announcement trailer at The Game Awards last night.
Rather than following on from Mass Effect: Andromeda this will follow on from the original trilogy and in the trailer we see the return of Liara T’soni on a snowy planet and she picks up a shard of N7 armour.
We also see a wrecked Mass Relay which was destroyed in the Reaper war, which that particular story-arch will likely continue in some way in the new game.
As the trailer comes to a close we see the Mud Skipper spaceship that was teased during the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition reveal.
No release date was given for the new Mass Effect but release is likely to be at least a couple of years away and will arrive for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
