Konami is creating a new Silent Hill development team
It’s fair to say that Silent Hill fans haven’t had it good in quite a few years with Konami’s iconic survival horror series failing to live up to the glory days of the original trilogy.
However, when Konami announced that Silent Hill 2 was getting a remake for a game considered to be one of the all-time greats, it sparked renewed hope for fans across its community. Whether the Silent Hill 2 remake lives up to the standards of the OG and whether Bloober Team can meet those expectations is another matter altogether.
As spotted by a Resetera user, perhaps building upon the foundations of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake, it seems that Konami is putting together a dedicated development team after a job listing was discovered for a “chance to be involved in game production in a cutting-edge development environment.”
What’s more, the listing then goes on to mention a Silent Hill Production Team. Konami is currently on the lookout for artists, engineers, planners and project managers. We do know that several other games are in the works, other than the Silent Hill 2 remake, those include Silent Hill: Ascension, Silent Hill f, Silent Hill Townfall, and even a new Silent Hill movie. So it makes sense for Konami to go all in on the series’ future. Let’s just hope that we can soon relive those glory days
A release date hasn’t been announced for the Silent Hill 2 remake, but it is expected to be released in 2024 for PC and PlayStation 5.
