Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee HD Remake Coming Next Summer

A HD remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee has been in development at Just Add Water since last year. Now, according to the Official Oddword Facebook Page, it will be no ordinary remake. Rather than updating the original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee 2D artwork, Just Add Water will be using the original PlayStation game “as a blueprint” for the HD remake. The developer will build the HD Abe’s Oddysee from scratch.

Apart from a rough Summer 2013 release date, there’s not a lot we know about this upcoming game. We don’t know whether or not it will stick to it’s PlayStation roots and come out as a PSN title or spread it’s wings and reach other platforms. What we do know is that it’s coming.
